Your thoughts are yours.
We built Atlas that way from the start. Your lectures, your notes, your recordings — private by design, not an afterthought.
A private space that belongs to you.
Everything you bring to Atlas lives inside Atlas Enclave, our access-control system for protecting your account. Other students and the public cannot browse your information; authorized systems, providers, and operators can access only what is needed to run and support Atlas.
Atlas does not sell your personal data or use your personal notes to train an Atlas model. Our AI provider processes the content required to create your notes.

Only what it takes to write your notes.
Your account
The email you sign in with, and the profile details you choose to share: your name, school, and program. Nothing you don’t hand us yourself.
Your notes
The notes, summaries, and transcripts Atlas writes for you. We store them so your library is there every time you come back.
Your audio, briefly
Atlas stores the recording temporarily and sends it to our AI provider only to create your notes. We delete the audio from Atlas storage after processing; your notes remain in your library.
Some lines we will never cross.
- Sell your personal data.
- Use your personal notes to train an Atlas model.
- Share your recordings or notes with advertisers or data brokers.
- Make your recordings or notes browsable by other students or the public.
You’re always in charge.
Delete anything
Remove a single note or your whole account whenever you want. Stored audio is already deleted after your notes are processed.
Take it with you
Export any note as a polished PDF or Word document in a couple of clicks. Your notes belong to you.
Stay in control
Update or clear your profile, and revoke microphone access from your browser at any time.
A note from the team
We started Atlas because we wanted to be present in class without losing a word. Privacy isn’t a feature we bolted on. It’s the reason we trust this tool with our own lectures. We’ll keep it that way for you, too.
